Frank's winter classes, 2015

Just two cookery night classes are on offer, this autumn/winter period.
A five week course of one night per week, two and a half hours per night,
only €100 per person.

Mondays, commencing 12th October at The Seven Hogs, Castlegregory and
Wednesdays, commencing Wednesday 14th October at Glash Community Centre, Newmarket, Co. Cork.

There will be an information evening and enrollment at the Seven Hogs on Monday, 5th October,
and at Glash Community Centre on Wednesday, 7th October, both at 8pm.

Each night of the five classes, three to four dishes from different countries will be cooked by students.

New cooking course for 2015

We are now accepting bookings from charities, organisations and festival committees for 2015 including pre-Christmas demonstrations,
I am just offering one spring cookery class this year.
The venue is Glash Community Centre ( near Newmarket, Co. Cork)

Night Classes


I will return to night classes in October 2014

A series of 4 week cookery night classes are proposed during October/November at the following centres:

Monday – Mallow area, Nano Nagle Centre, 6th, 13th, 20th October and Monday 3rd November, 2½ hours per night, 7.30-10pm.  Information and enrolment evening Monday 29th September at 8pm.  For course content, please see blog

Tuesday – Macroom area, Riverside Park Hotel, 7th, 14th, 21st October and Monday 4th November, 2½ hours per night, 7.45-10.15pm.  Information and enrolment evening Tuesday 30th September at 8pm.  For course content, please see blog

 Wednesday – Tralee area, St Marys and St Brendans Pastoral Centre, 8th, 15th, 22nd October and Monday 5th November, 2½ hours per night, 7.45-10.15pm.  Information and enrolment evening Monday 29th September at 8pm.  For course content, please see blog

Information and enrolment evenings are of 30 minute duration only, it is important to attend or contact us by phone or email prior to enrolment
Nightly handouts are distributed.  
Food tasted by participants nightly

Course content
1) Bread making (spelt), stocks, sauces, soups
2) Bread making (healthy), simple hot and cold starters
3) A sugar free confection and fish cooking
4) Deserts - vegetarian and meat cooking


Some pre Christmas dates are available to charities for 'Seasons Eatings' November/December.  Call or email for details

Autumn

The next series of night classes will be in Autumn, commencing the week of Monday 29th September to 2nd October.  Proposed locations are Mallow, Macroom and Tralee, the duration is 4 week 2hrs 30mins per night - more details later.

As always we are available to Carnival/Festival committees to present an evening of gourmet cooking as a fundraiser, and to any primary school who would like to hose 'Seasons Eatings' an evening of Christmas cooking in November/December

Cookery night classes

Cookery night class season is almost upon us and I am offering 4 different venues this winter

Monday
St Brendan's Pastoral Centre, Tralee
enrolment and introduction on 30th Sept at 8pm

Tuesday
Riverside Park Hotel, Macroom
enrolment and introduction on Tuesday 1st Oct at 8pm

Wednesday

Banna Beach Hotel (House No 76)
enrolment and introduction Wednesday 2nd Oct at 8pm

Thursday
The Parkway Hotel, Dunmanway
enrolment and introduction on Thurs 3rd Oct at 8pm


Persons interested in attending any of the above should 1) attend relevant enrolement or 2) contact me by email (franklycooking@eircom.net) or by phone (086 2627855) because if sufficient names are not received at the enrolement evening the class WILL NOT progress.

All classes are subject to demand and will commence on the week of 7th October, 2hrs 30mins per night

Persons who are enrolled either in Tralee town or Banna can attend either one

July update

If you are visiting Claremorris Agri Show on Sunday 4th August, we will be there conducting 3 cookery demonstrations at 1.30pm, 3pm and 4.30pm.  These demonstrations are on the healthy eating theme and are sponsored by Growing Locally, Claremorris.

On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th we can be found at Limerick Agri Show at the racecourse - again 3 demonstrations each day at 1.30, 3.00 and 4.30.  If you are at the show do call in to our tent and say hello, you will be most welcome


Pre-Christmas cookery night classes are schedule for:
Mondays - Tralee
Tuesdays - Macroom
Wednesdays - Clonakilty
Thursdays - Dunmanway

4 weeks, 1 night per week for 2hrs 30mins per night, commencing the first week in October

We have a cookery demonstration unit to rent to any organisation who may need it, we will travel the unit to your venue, set it up and take it down at the end of the presentation.  The unit is complete with 7ft table and built-in hob (4 burners), overhead mirror and stands, free standing cooker with oven, grill and 4 burners.  Comes with 2 cylinders of gas.
