Frank's winter classes, 2015

Just two cookery night classes are on offer, this autumn/winter period.
A five week course of one night per week, two and a half hours per night,
only €100 per person.

Mondays, commencing 12th October at The Seven Hogs, Castlegregory and
Wednesdays, commencing Wednesday 14th October at Glash Community Centre, Newmarket, Co. Cork.

There will be an information evening and enrollment at the Seven Hogs on Monday, 5th October,
and at Glash Community Centre on Wednesday, 7th October, both at 8pm.

Each night of the five classes, three to four dishes from different countries will be cooked by students.

Night Classes

A series of 4 week cookery night classes are proposed during October/November at the following centres:

Monday – Mallow area, Nano Nagle Centre, 6^th, 13^th, 20^th October and Monday 3^rd November, 2½ hours per night, 7.30-10pm.  Information and enrolment evening Monday 29^th September at 8pm.  For course content, please see blog

Information and enrolment evenings are of 30 minute duration only, it is important to attend or contact us by phone or email prior to enrolment

1) Bread making (spelt), stocks, sauces, soups

2) Bread making (healthy), simple hot and cold starters

3) A sugar free confection and fish cooking

4) Deserts - vegetarian and meat cooking

Autumn

The next series of night classes will be in Autumn, commencing the week of Monday 29th September to 2nd October.  Proposed locations are Mallow, Macroom and Tralee, the duration is 4 week 2hrs 30mins per night - more details later.

As always we are available to Carnival/Festival committees to present an evening of gourmet cooking as a fundraiser, and to any primary school who would like to hose 'Seasons Eatings' an evening of Christmas cooking in November/December

All classes are subject to demand and will commence on the week of 7th October, 2hrs 30mins per night

July update

If you are visiting Claremorris Agri Show on Sunday 4th August, we will be there conducting 3 cookery demonstrations at 1.30pm, 3pm and 4.30pm.  These demonstrations are on the healthy eating theme and are sponsored by Growing Locally, Claremorris.

On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th we can be found at Limerick Agri Show at the racecourse - again 3 demonstrations each day at 1.30, 3.00 and 4.30.  If you are at the show do call in to our tent and say hello, you will be most welcome

4 weeks, 1 night per week for 2hrs 30mins per night, commencing the first week in October

We have a cookery demonstration unit to rent to any organisation who may need it, we will travel the unit to your venue, set it up and take it down at the end of the presentation.  The unit is complete with 7ft table and built-in hob (4 burners), overhead mirror and stands, free standing cooker with oven, grill and 4 burners.  Comes with 2 cylinders of gas.

Wednesday 29th May finds us in Ballyduff, Co Kerry, presenting an evening of gourmet cooking as a fund raiser for Bud's family resource centre at 8pm.

On Tuesday 6th June we're in Myshall Community Centre, Co Carlow for Adelaide Memorial Church and on Thursday 20 th June I can be found in my favourite hotel in Ireland - Renvyle House Hotel in Connemara for a private function.

Pre-Christmas 'Seasons Eatings' are at an advanced stage of planning.  Pre-Christmas cookery night classes will start in first week of October on Mondays in Tralee, Wednesdays in Macroom and Thursdays in Dunmanway.  More on this later

On Monday (Bank Holiday) we're scheduled for Castle blayney Agricultural Show and on 7th August we're taking to the high seas and visiting the beautiful Bere Island for an evening of good cooking.

Listeners to my segment on the Joe Finnigan Show on Shannonside NorthernSound will now know that I will be discontinuing that slot as of mid August.  After some 17 years I feel the time has come.

I've had some great times with the station and met some fabulous people.  I really am going to miss it, but the travelling is getting to me.

I will of course continue to do night classes and demonstrations, but a little nearer to home.  I will always be available to answer cookery queries etc, so do keep in contact.
